Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
ABA therapy is a personalized approach that helps individuals learn important life skills and reduce behaviors that may interfere with daily activities. Kelberman’s Licensed Behavior Analysts and Behavior Technicians provide ABA therapy at our Utica-based clinic site, providing 1:1 support to young children and in-person or virtual support to their caregivers.
Overview
ABA therapy focuses on understanding why behaviors occur and creating supportive, individualized plans that help people succeed at home, school, work, and in their communities. Therapy goals are tailored to each person's unique strengths, needs, and preferences, and progress is measured regularly to ensure meaningful outcomes.
-
Therapy sessions occur on-site at our clinic location.
-
Therapy sessions are scheduled based on each individual's unique needs and may take place three to five days per week, lasting between one and five hours per session.
-
Collaboration with caregivers is a key component of treatment. Meetings are scheduled one to two times per month to discuss progress, address concerns, and provide guidance for supporting skill development outside of therapy sessions.
-
Before starting services, individuals need a documented autism diagnosis, as well as a referral and prescription from a qualified healthcare professional.
-
Kelberman partners with several insurance carriers.
