Kelberman Receives Over $12,000 Grant from Edwin J. Wadas Foundation

Kelberman is proud to announce a generous grant totaling more than $12,000 from The Edwin J. Wadas Foundation to our Kamp Connections, an inclusive summer camp program. Kamp Connections, located at Camp Ronald McDonald in Sauquoit, welcomes campers of all abilities for a season of adventure, creativity and lasting friendships. Campers participate in activities such as outdoor games, swimming, arts and crafts, music and more.

In alignment with its mission to ensure all children benefit from teamwork, resilience, and pure joy that come from sports and physical activity, the Edwin J. Wadas Foundation has dedicated a portion of its grant to provide camp scholarships for children attending Kamp Connections. The remaining funds support the purchase of recreational essentials, including outdoor shelters to enhance comfort and accessibility, yoga mats to support mindful movement, equipment for field games and water play, and an inflatable obstacle course that adds excitement while building confidence and connection.

Edwin J. Wadas Foundation Executive Director Victoria L. Cataldo states, “Summer camp is a fantastic opportunity for kids to try new sports, have fun and get outside. Inclusive camp play is essential to foster a sense of belonging and equality among all children. We are proud to partner with Kelberman to provide opportunities such as Kamp Connections to our local youth."

Kelly Carinci, Kelberman Chief Development and Communications Officer shared, “This collaboration between the Edwin J. Wadas Foundation and Kelberman exemplifies the power of community support and the value of inclusive recreational opportunities. Together, we're helping local children experience not just summer fun, but personal growth and deeper connections.”
