U.S.A. Self-Advocacy Group Secures Bus Stop
The Kelberman Utica Self Advocates (U.S.A.) have spent months working toward a goal: a convenient place to catch the bus. Now, thanks to their advocacy, a new Centro bus stop at The LINK is officially in service! U.S.A. members met with Centro representatives to explain why a stop at The LINK was important and how reliable transportation could support greater independence. They kept the conversation going as the request moved through the route planning process. Their persistence and leadership helped turn an idea into a reality. The new stop is a meaningful accomplishment for the group and a reminder of what can happen when people speak up about the changes they need in their community. Congratulations to the Utica Self Advocates for making their voices heard and helping improve access to transportation at The LINK.
