POSITION SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse is responsible to assess and monitor medical concerns, review, provide nursing care to program participants, complete required documentation, provide in-services to staff, collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners, certify AMA P's, review and act on incident reports, provide on-call coverage and participate in Agency activities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Role responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Monitor and assess program participant's medical concerns.
• Provide routine and emergency nursing care to program participants.
• Complete all required documentation and reports according to program regulations including program participants' quarterly and annual medical reviews and charts.
• Provide nursing and medical in-services to staff at Kelberman Center Residences and other programs as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners on medical issues.
• Certify and re-certify all AMAP's on an as needed basis.
• Trains staff on CPR (American Red Cross), First Aide, and Epi-pehs as assigned
• Review and act on incident reports.
• Provide "on-call" telephone coverage as needed.
• Participate in activities as part of the treatment team that may include meetings, appointments, trainings, and committees.
• Establish a work environment that creates positive communication between supervisors and employees and assimilates new employees to the Agency's culture, values and mission.
• Provide supervision to LPN associated with Kelberman programs.
• Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards.
• Maintain and regularly compile data and documentation to be reviewed by supervisor as required.
• Contribute to a positive work environment through collaborative teamwork and positive communication in alignment with the Kelberman's culture, values and mission.
• Demonstrate excellent work attendance by being punctual and reliable for all scheduled shifts and meetings.
• Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards.
• Adhere to mandatory reporting requirements and HIPAA laws.
• Other duties as assigned.
